About Captain Schirra

Schirra McDaniel was born and raised here in Lake County Florida. He grew up hunting and fishing from a very early age. He is a natural, knows where to go and what to do when you get there. Captain Schirra is the full-time guide on Scorpion Lake at Promise Ranch.

He has a real passion to help other people fully enjoy the outdoor experience of a lifetime. His boats have everything you need include top of the line fishing equipment just bring a favorite beverage.

Schirra also does Bow fishing trips on local public lakes and has everything you need for a great trip.

Promise Ranch is a 1,300-acre family run cattle ranch, on a large private spring fed rock pit lake, located in Center Hill, near Orlando, FL. Founded in 2000 by Don Buckner, he and his wife Misty know the importance of having a great day of largemouth bass fishing. They have spent many years and countless resources developing the premier destination for bass fishing in the state of Florida.

This all-inclusive dream fishing experience includes everything the avid angler needs to bring in the largest bass of their lives or for the first-time fisherman to learn what a great day on the lake really means.

Days at Promise Ranch have been used as dream gifts for birthdays and anniversaries, as well as corporate team building exercises and sales or performance incentives for your team. Most of our half-day guided bass fishing trips easily catch 20+ fish, making it a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.
